Dr. Heather Duncan is the Coordinator of Clinical Education in the College of Education at the University of South Florida, Sarasota-Manatee. She received her BA in Elementary Education, and her M.Ed. in Special Education from the University of Florida. She completed her Ph.D. at the University of South Florida-Tampa in Curriculum and Instruction: Special Education, with an emphasis in Autism and Families. As the current Coordinator of Clinical Education, she works to empower teacher candidates with the tools, knowledge and skill set needed to implement UDL in their own classrooms to address the needs of an increasingly diverse student population, Through modeling and targeted feedback, she guides and coaches teacher candidates through the development and implementation processes.
