I have extensive experience in higher education, a Ph.D. in Education, M.S. in Special Education, and B.A. in Elementary Education and Communications. I served as a Special Education Teacher in Winchester, Massachusetts from 1997 – 2001 and currently hold professional Massachusetts teaching licenses in Special Education (Moderate Special Needs PreK – Ninth Grade) and Elementary Education (First – Sixth Grade).

I gained experience in higher education through my positions at Bay Path University in Longmeadow, Massachusetts and American University in Washington, District of Columbia. Prior to accepting a position at Bay Path University in October 2011, I served as the Director of Teacher Education at American University between 2004 and 2011. Beginning in Fall 2017, I will begin serving as a Faculty Member at Fitchburg State University.
