Dr. Liz Berquist received a B.A. in history from Washington College, a Masters Degree in Special Education from Towson University, a certificate of administration from Goucher College and a doctoral degree in Instructional Technology from Towson University. Liz is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Special Education at Towson University where she works with pre-service and in-service educators and teaches a variety of courses. Liz also supervises interns placed in Baltimore County and Baltimore City Public Schools. Her research interests include Universal Design for Learning, conceptual change, faculty professional development, and enhancing university-school partnerships. Prior to joining the faculty at TU, Liz was employed by the Baltimore County Public School system as a middle school and high school social studies educator, special educator and central office curriculum and instruction staff member. She is also a member of the CAST UDL faculty cadre.
